Why Does Lightening McQueen Stick His Tongue Out?

The little one is a huge fan of “Cars” the movie from Disney Pixar, and all the times I watch it I wonder why Lightening McQueen sticks his tongue out?

I’ve come up with a few opinions:

  1. It makes all the characters in the movie seem more human
  2. It makes the characters seem more dippy (even the cool ones)
  3. They’re showing off the physics engine of the CGI environment

Because Lightning McQueen was concentrating on winning the race.
